8.25 @ 172mph
What a weekend of racing and teamwork, MR F6 has punched out another PB but not without playing hardball!
With the King of the Street (KOTS) moved to December 6th, we reached out to Tunnel Vision Turbocharging to secure some track time at Heathcote Park Raceway. His response? “Only if you’re going to have a go this time!” Challenge accepted.
The day started with dialing in the 60-foot times, but just as things were heating up, we snapped a diff flange. Most would have called it a day, but not us. The team at GJ Drivelines came through early Sunday morning with Matt, Joy and Evan calling us at 7 a.m. Sunday, saying, “Rob, we have the parts you need, come and get it.” A quick 4 hour round trip to Melbourne later, and we were back at Heathcote, with Lance and Corey powering up the hoist to make some quick repairs.
We waited until 6:30 p.m for the track to come round to make the next pass—and it delivered. We hit a 1.28-second 60-foot, followed by three back to back solid passes: 8.33, 8.35, and finally an 8.25 at 170 mph all cutting a 1.28 60-foot and lifting both front wheels on the hit in a 4200LB heavy weight. Huge thanks to the HPR team for keeping the track open to make this possible!
Special thanks to some of our east coast supporters that helped us
